Introduction
This is a certificate course designed to make the common man aware of computers at a basic level.
Benefits: On successful completion of the course, the candidate becomes able to use the computer for basic purposes like preparing personal/business letters, looking up information on the Internet (web), sending mails, preparing business presentations. Small business community, housewives will be able to maintain their accounts using the computer.
Eligibility
Candidates do not require any pre-requisite qualification to pursue this course. However, basic knowledge of English is expected from the candidates.
Duration: The total duration of the course is 80 hours, which includes:
i) Theory 25 hours
ii) Tutorials 5 hours
iii) Practical 50 hours
The course can ideally be a two-week intensive course.Who can conduct the course: Institutes conducting any of the recognized courses of O/A/B/C level can conduct the course on computer concepts. Separate recognition is not required for such institutes. However, the institutes conducting recognized courses of O/A/B/C level are required to inform and obtain permission from DOEACC Society in writing before commencement of the course.

Examination
The examination for the certificate course will be conducted by DOEACC Society initially twice a year.

The ‘O’ Level Course of DOEACC Scheme is equivalent to Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications. Students can obtain this qualification by pursuing this course and passing the examination conducted by DOEACC Society. Working professionals can also directly appear for this examination provided they have the requisite educational qualifications as mentioned below.

Eligibility

i) For students joining through an Institute: 10+2 or ITI Certificate (one year) after Class 10 followed by a recognized ‘O’ Level Course in each case.

OR
Successful completion of the second year of a Government recognized Polytechnic Engineering/Diploma Course after Class 10 followed by a recognized ‘O’ Level Course simultaneously during the third year of the said Polytechnic Engineering Diploma Course. ii) For Students (Direct Applicants): 10+2 or ITI Certificate (one year) after Class 10 followed by one year of relevant experience in each case. (Relevant experience cannot be job experience in IT including teaching in a recognized institution as a faculty member, except coaching.

OR
Passed NCVT-DP&CS (Data Processing and Computer Software) examination conducted by DGE&T (Govt. of India).

Examination
From January 2000 the examination for ‘O’ level is being conducted only under Miscellaneous Course. Certificate will be issued to those candidates who are registered at ‘O’ level and have successfully completed two modules under Miscellaneous Course for ‘O’ level including the compulsory module of ‘Personal Computer Software’.

Eligibility

O Level Qualifier or any Graduate or Government recognized Polytechnic Engineering Diploma after Class X/XII (no concurrent).

Duration: 1½ years (semester system)

Certificate Awarding Body: NIELIT (Formerly DOEACC Society)

DOEACC ‘A’ Level Academic Course

DOEACC ‘A’ Level Course is the second level of DOEACC IT Professional Course. It comes after ‘O’ Level. It is equivalent to Advanced Diploma Course in Computer Application recognized by Government of India for job purposes. The duration of the course is 1½ years for direct entry and 1 year for ‘O’ Level Qualifiers. The course commences in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice will be published in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland about 1 month before the commencement of the course.

The Tally course provides practical skills and knowledge in using Tally software, a widely used accounting and ERP software. It focuses on accounting fundamentals, transaction recording, inventory management, GST and various other financial and administrative functions. The course equips individuals with the ability to manage financial data, prepare reports and understand tax regulations

The PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) is a one-year postgraduate course that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of computer applications and their practical use in business.
